Schleifen chapel
Innerschwand am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
The Schleifinger estate has been family owned since about 1617. Since several daughters continued the estate, changed the family name.
When the chapel was built is not known exactly. However, according to tradition, it is a plague chapel, probably a plague cemetery here. On September 17, 1714, Rosina Strasser, who died of the plague, was said to have been buried here.
Unfortunately, this chapel was robbed around 1990. Three valuable wooden paintings about 80 years old were lost at that time. It is understandable that since then only a few less precious memories of first communion etc. hang in the chapel
