Wolfgangsee - Advent as it used to be

For over 20 years, the Wolfgangsee Advent has been delighting visitors of all ages with lovingly designed Advent venues around the lake, traditional decorations, and a festive atmosphere.
The Wolfgangsee Advent embodies authentic traditions and a sense of home. It is distinguished by its unique location between the mountains of the Salzkammergut and right on the lakeshore.

With the Wolfgangsee Schifffahrt boat service, our guests can travel between the idyllic towns of St. Gilgen, Strobl, and St. Wolfgang while enjoying the magic of the Advent season. The picturesque villages provide a dreamlike backdrop for the Advent market, which—with its lovingly decorated wooden huts, twinkling lights, and atmospheric music—invites visitors to linger and enjoy the moment.

Out on the water floats the enormous ORF Peace Light lantern. It has long since become a symbol of Advent on Lake Wolfgang. From the boats and from the shore, it draws admiring glances.

Our tip: Every Wednesday, the markets in St. Wolfgang and Strobl are bathed in a special ambiance. As darkness falls (wånn's dumpa wird), the electric lights are reduced to a minimum. The contemplative Advent markets are illuminated primarily by a sea of candlelight and cozy fire pits, creating a unique atmosphere.
