Oh, joyful Christmas market of the Ischl craftsmen: even before the first candle on the Advent wreath is lit, the craftsmen open the doors of the historic Trinkhalle for their traditional Christmas market. This Advent, from 21 November to 21 December, Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the gates of the Christmas market are open to guests from near and far. Look forward to original handmade items from the imperial city, typical culinary delicacies and an atmospheric programme of events in the run-up to Christmas. The craftsmen of Ischl are known far beyond the Salzkammergut for their talent for combining beauty with utility – an art that is cultivated here in its most beautiful form and presented in the elegant Trinkhalle during the Advent season.
As every year, a variety of culinary stalls await you this year from 21 November to 5 January (24 to 26 December closed on these days) in the Schmankerldorf in front of the Trinkhalle. You can enjoy traditional feasting on Wednesdays/Thursdays from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The pre-Christmas season is accompanied by atmospheric brass band and folk music in and around the Trinkhalle.
Enjoy an atmospheric Advent and pre-Christmas season in the imperial city!
