By train:
From Wels station, take the Almtalbahn (line 153) towards Grünau im Almtal to the Viechtwang stop;
there are numerous connections from Wels station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) to Linz/Vienna or Salzburg and to Passau (line 150).

It is approx. 900 metres from the stop to the inn. Cross the Almbrücke bridge, follow Bartwinkel street to the small bridge over the Sagbach stream, cross the bridge, then turn left uphill and follow the signs for ‘Grüne Erde-Welt’. When you reach the main road, turn left and walk approx. 100 metres along the side of the road.

By bus:
OÖVV bus line 480 Kirchdorf/Kr. (- Schlierbach) - Pettenbach - Scharnstein - Viechtwang; Steinfelden ehem. Kastlwirt bus stop, directly in front of the house

Take the Salzkammerut Shuttle Service Route 70 from Vorchdorf or Scharnstein to the ‘Grüne Erde-Welt’ stop. Please call the taxi centre at least 1 hour in advance on 050-422 422 to book. The stop is approx. 750 metres away.

Bike & Hike, arriving by bike:
Coming from Wels or Linz, take the R 11 Almtal cycle path via Pettenbach to Viechtwang. Or via the R 4 Traun cycle path or R6 Römer cycle path, or from Passau via Vöcklabruck and Schwanenstadt to Lambach, via the Traunkraftwerk Lambach power station and to Bad Wimsbach-Neydharting in the direction of Vorchdorf Einsiedling. Continue via the cycle path briefly on the R 13 Traunviertel Cycle Path to the R 11 Almtal Cycle Path via Pettenbach to Viechtwang.

You can also take the cycle path on the Traunviertel Tour from Gmunden via St. Konrad and Scharnstein to Viechtwang.

A1 motorway: Vienna - Voralpenkreuz-A9 - Ried/Tr. exit - Voitsdorf - Pettenbach - on the B120 towards Scharnstein
Motorway A8 Passau - Wels - Voralpenkreuz A9 - Ried/Tr.Voitsdorf exit - Pettenbach - on the B120 towards Scharnstein
A1 motorway: Munich – Salzburg – Regau – take the B145 to Gmunden, also when arriving from Bad Ischl – take the B120 towards Scharnstein – continue towards Pettenbach

The inn is located directly on the B120 between Scharnstein and the junction with the Ziehberg Landesstraße.
