Rudy Giovannini – Muttertagskonzert

Rudy Giovannini has his roots in the sunny mountains of South Tyrol, which is why he is known as the "Caruso of the mountains". He studied singing at the Verona Conservatory and with Professor Arrigo Pola in Modena, with whom Luciano Pavarotti perfected his voice. It was also "Big Luciano" who encouraged him to take the path from classical music to popular music. He is the originator of the famous sentence that Rudy often quotes: "There is no first or second class music, there is only beautiful or bad music, and what you want to make is beautiful music".

The range of Rudy Giovannini's repertoire includes hits, musicals, folk music and classical melodies. His a-capella vocal interludes are magnificent. In addition to the Grand Prix winning title "Salve Regina" (won with Belsy), evergreens such as Spanish Eyes, La Pastorella, La Montanara as well as O sole mio and Santa Lucia from his native Italy can be heard. There will also be soulful ballads and lively new tracks from his latest CD. Of course, Rudy Giovannini will also perform samples from his classical repertoire with songs from opera and operetta. Highlights include the Volga Song from the operetta Tsarevich, Johann Strauss melodies, La Traviata and the Prisoners' Chorus from Nabucco.
