The Henaralmhütte of the Naturfreunde Bad Aussee is located at an altitude of 1,660 meters in the midst of the Totes Gebirge and is accessible from May to early November via marked paths. As a self-catering hut, it offers 13 sleeping places in two separate rooms, a cooking facility with a wood stove, running water, an outdoor solar shower, and electricity from a photovoltaic system.
The large west terrace invites you to linger, while the eastern breakfast terrace sweetens the start of your day.
The hut is particularly suitable for those seeking tranquility: it is located in a light- and noise-reduced area, allowing for an uninterrupted view of the starry sky. Information folders with star maps are available in the hut.
Nearby, there are numerous hiking trails and summit destinations such as the Redende Stein, the Rinnerkogel, or the Große Woising.
The picturesque Henarsee is about a 30-minute walk away.
The Henaralmhütte is part of the extensive trail network in the Ausseerland and serves as a starting point for tours to surrounding huts such as the Albert-Appel-Haus or the Pühringerhütte.
The Ausseerland offers diverse opportunities for hikers and mountaineers looking to explore the Totes Gebirge.
