The apartment is located about two kilometers outside the center of Bad Aussee.
Villa Straussengut was first mentioned in documents in the 15th century under the name "Marshallgut". The name giver of the house was the farmer Franz Meyrl Vulgo Strauss, he managed the estate at the turn of the 18th and 19th century.
Later the villa was a restaurant, only in 1937 Emil and Christine Osterley took over the property and ran the house as a boarding house, where many personalities from the Salzburg Festival were guests. Also famous composers like Wilhelm Kienzl and Karl Böhm were among the guests of the famous pension.
The apartment has been lovingly renovated and furnished in country house style. The three bedrooms can accommodate up to five people, with magnificent panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. The sunny hours can be enjoyed in the large garden with its sun loungers.
For the rainy days, Villa Straussengut has a historic store bowling alley and for the romantic evenings a fireplace. In addition, there are many ways to spend the day in the Ausseerland Salzkammergut. Whether adventure, sports or recreation vacation here is something for everyone.
