Marterl at the Schober way

The wayside shrine Nr 9 on the way from the Teufelsmühle to the Wartenfels with the inscription " St Maria has helped us in a time of great Need" was put up by a Young Girl out of thankfulness. She was all alone it the middle of the forest and pregnant when she went into labour. She gave birth to the child with view of the Hilfberg church and was able to get back to the farm with the child, both healthy.
Out of thankfulness she built the shrine and it still stands to this day.
When it was badly in Need of a renovation Mr Niederbrucker took it upon himself to work on the shrine.
