When the cross was originally put up is unknown. If you believe the tails it once stood in the Oberwong before it ended up on its current place.
Before the new road was built it was originally directly located next to the war memorial.
In 2003 it had to be renovated and the old cross is kept in the church in Loibichl. Peter Strobl made the new cross and vicar Edlinger blessed it.
