The bench next to the shrine invites to a rest: "Wanderer, rest, free yourself from your burden." About 100 years ago, the statue of Mary, a black Madonna, was attached to a beech. It is reported that around 1920 a man was attacked who wanted to bring the ox money home. He survived. Thankfully, he set up a small shrine for the statue of Mary. The picture of the Virgin was erected on a staff by the way. Around 1990, Herbert and Elfriede Ellmauer built the today 's, bricked shrine. The text was written by Mrs. Ellmauer, who comes here almost daily and carefully cares for the memorial place. With this she also connects the request for protection for the family members.
