In 1992, Mr. Michael Achleitner erected the shrine in his garden on the high moor as a thank you for the health of the Family.
His son Michael helped with the walls. The roof truss was built by Mr. Adolf Dicker, the roof with the cross comes from the brother Georg Rauchenschwandner.
The statue of Mary was received by Mr. Achleitner from his mother. The statue once stood in his parents' house, the Gasthaus Neuhäusl. As this burned down, the statue survived and now has a new place in the shrine. Finally, Mr. Achleitner also took care of lighting with the help of solar cells, which he attached to the Roof.
For Mr. Achleitner the shrine was an expression and a sign of his deep faith. He was perhaps not the most industrious churchgoer, as Mrs. Achleitner noted, but a deeply religious person. The bench at the shrine became his favorite spot in the garden, where he liked to sit with his grandchildren.
Mr. Achleitner died in 2010. Since the shrine was so important to him, his wife let him chisel into the tombstone. The house has been sold, but the garden with the shrine is still owned by Mrs. Hildegard Achleitner.
