The grave of the Thenn family was in the Spitalskirche in Mondsee. Hertha Awecker reports: "On November 15, 1578, Heinrich and Andreas von den Thenn and Thomas Lasser von Lasseregg handed over in the name of their mother and mother-in-law, the wife of Barbara Thennin, b. Altin, the citizen hospital 200 fl. On the condition that the foundress and her descendants in the Heiligengeist church in Mondsee should find their final resting place. Barbara Thennin was the widow of the princely mint master of Salzburg, Max von der Thenn, who died in 1552 when his eldest son was only six years old. It is probably due to the reputation of the family and the widow of her own energy that she herself held this office for nearly 20 years. It was only when she and her children went to Mondsee during the plague in 1571 that the grumpy Pfennigmeister, Hans Geizkofler, succeeded in driving her out of her position for his own benefit. Barbara died in 1579 (June 3) and was buried in the Mondseer Spitalskirche according to her foundation. There her daughter Cordula, who had been married to Thomas Lasser von Lasseregg, found her funeral (died 1583). The gravestone of the Thenn family is today in the hall of the "Koflerbräus". 3)
