In the forest of Hussenbauern used to hang a tin plate on a tree at a turnoff from Tannenweg. When this was felled, one sought a place nearby for a tree picture. The image showing angel under the cross was available and was provided with a frame attached at the current location. In the 70s it had to be renewed and was later covered again by August Meindl. It is likely that the first sheet metal image of an accident was due to be attached. But nothing is handed down about it. For the family, the wayside cross is a sign of faith asking for God's protection.
