Rebecca Schilcher, the owner and designer of our house has designed the official everyday costume of Hallstatt. The Hallstattdirndl was included in the Trachtenmappe of the OÖ Heimatwerk in November 2016. For the color scheme, she was inspired by the great fire in 1750, to which the entire center of Hallstatt fell victim:
"The gray body symbolizes the ashes, pink stands for the fire and blue characterizes the serenity of the Hallstatt people that was needed for the reconstruction."
