The Einsiedling branch church is dedicated to St. Bartholomew and the Bartholomew Festival is something very special here The original place name was St. Bartholome, but due to an unconfirmed story that a monk lived here as a hermit, the district of Vorchdorf has been called a hermit for about 700 years. Parts of the church (choir and sacristy) were replaced by conglomerate and brick in the 15th century, until then it was a Romanesque wooden structure. The nave was not rebuilt until the 17th century. After a thorough restoration between 1991 and 2008, the church is now a must-see gem in the beautiful landscape of the Almtal. From Vorchdorf drive in the direction of Lederau, the church is in the Einsiedling district on the left
