Kesselheiße beim Kranichsteg

The Kranichsteg is a popular gathering spot, especially on Thursdays. As part of the “Kesselheißen”—a traditional Thursday event held at butcher shops in Upper Austria—guests can enjoy fresh sausages such as Frankfurter, Knacker, Debreziner, Käsekrainer, Scharfe, Weißwurst, or Braunschweiger are enjoyed with a beer on tap in our cozy dining rooms. During the warmer months, our outdoor dining area is also open on sunny days.

In addition to the classic sausages, our Thursday menu also features Blutwurstgröstl, Bosna, goulash, and daily specials. Of course, we’ve also thought of vegetarians on Thursdays. At the Kranichsteg, you can enjoy draft beer and Hopfenkönig from the Schloss Eggenberg Brewery.
