HIPPIE DEATH CULT (USA) + Very Special Guest: GLORY DEAD (A)

Hippie Death Cult are among the most exciting acts on the modern heavy psych and stoner rock scene. The band from Portland, Oregon, blends powerful riffs, psychedelic soundscapes, and progressive elements into a distinctive sound that evokes the great rock bands of the 1970s while still feeling modern and unique.

With their acclaimed albums “111,” “Circle of Days,” and “Helichrysum,” as well as hundreds of concerts in Europe and North America, they have built an international fan base. Their high-energy live performances, in particular, are considered their trademark and have earned the band invitations to renowned festivals such as Desertfest and Heavy Psych Sounds Fest.

Following their impressive performances at the Kino Ebensee, the U.S. band is now returning and promises another evening filled with heavy grooves, hypnotic guitars, and electrifying rock energy.

Glory Dead—the music of the Kinz brothers and bass legend Andreas Loidl is hard to pigeonhole into familiar genres. And the four Ebensee natives seem to clearly enjoy this fact. Free-spirited and authentic, these local heroes of the Salzkammergut represent genuine rock ’n’ roll in their “wild” region and far beyond. Earthy bass tones, sophisticated guitar solos, enigmatic lyrics, and fiery drum beats are a promise the band never breaks during their live performances. There’s only one thing left to say: Rock on!
