Something big is coming your way in March 2025 - something unexpected, unique, fantastic. The Tyrolean folk harp and the classical double bass meet modern and surprising sounds in a symphonic guise. Katrin & Werner Unterlercher are fulfilling a lifelong dream and going on tour with their new program "HARPHONIC" and their own symphony orchestra!

The Tyrolean couple are no strangers to the world of folk music. Werner tours the world as an integral part of the Herbert Pixner Project. Katrin - also a member of the Pixner Project ensemble until her maternity leave - realizes herself by writing her own music. Together they perform on stages at home and abroad and enchant their audiences with very special, original compositions. With pieces that get under your skin. With sounds that don't sound like folk music at all and yet are somehow folkloric.

Stories told "symphonically"

Together with your musical friends, you will be setting off even bigger sparks in March 2025. With well-known pieces such as Flowers, Orphan Black and Eldorado, they ensure a certain degree of harpiness in the audience. They enchant their guests with their vision. They take the audience through the breathtaking string slalom and into Katrin's incredible harp hell ride. In the process, Katrin and Werner also repeatedly process their own life stories as passionate musicians: they talk about the uncertainty of the last few years, about the big break or about how a very special lucky star ensures that they always know exactly where to find their home base - if they have to.

Top-class symphony orchestra from Vienna on board

Despite the down-to-earth nature of the two Tyroleans, Katrin and Werner Unterlercher are not stingy with quality in their new program "HARPHONIC". None other than the famous Varga Quartet from Vienna will be on stage with the two thoroughbred musicians.

The Varga Quartet is currently one of the most established chamber music ensembles in Austria and regularly performs on major stages in Austria, Germany, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and China.

Together with other top-class musicians, they give Katrin and Werner's well-known original compositions a completely new, musical and surprising shine.

A dream goes on tour

Katrin and Werner Unterlercher were able to fulfill their symphonic dream in the summer of 2024. The premiere of "HARPHONIC" took place as part of the HerzTakt Festival at the Wilder Kaiser, under the musical direction of Norbert Amon. Originally planned as a one-off project, it is now going on tour with its program due to its tremendous success. The audience can look forward to rousing and magical moments, mystical sounds and completely unexpected, symphonic interpretations of their own compositions.
