A musical journey through the English art of song - from the Renaissance to the 20th century!

Trio AEON invites you on a musical journey through the art of English song from the Renaissance to the 20th century.
The selected composers shaped the sound of their respective eras in a unique way and demonstrate the extraordinary diversity of English art song. Works by composers including J. Dowland, H. Purcell, R. V. Williams and B. Britten span the spectrum from the early, simple song form via the folk song to the fully composed art song. Through the interplay of flute, harp and voice, the AEON trio creates its own world of sound in which the program is reinterpreted and illuminated.
