Ploetzhof museum visit

The museum offers a fascinating insight into the world of the past. What was life like at that time, how did a convicted person fare, how was a court trial conducted, and what penalties could one expect? In the second part, the #ploetzhof is dedicated to the history and development of Hof near Salzburg - from Roman times to the artificial island in Fuschlsee, you will find a range of interesting information from a long-gone era.

In 2024, a bridge was installed over the Baderbach under the #ploetzhof as part of the LEADER Project II, creating a picturesque connection from the impressive old prison to the Baderbach mill. This now allows visitors to explore three Points of Interest (POIs) – the #ploetzhof, the mill, and the waterfall – in a short walk.

Opening hours: Year-round self-guided tours possible daily from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. (depending on the weather - no snow clearing!) Free admission!
