Bartholomäus patron day

In honour of St. Bartholomew, the small municipality of Hintersee celebrates its popular annual traditional church festival.

Many visitors from the village, the surrounding communities and guests from near and far join in the celebrations when the traditional music band marches in at 10:00 am to open the festival.

The Hintersee members of the local associations like the Brauchtumsgruppe, Kameradschaft, Bäuerinnen & Feichtenstoa Teifin, organise the Kirtag together and provide musical entertainment and above all culinary delicacies.

As befits a Kirtag, various goods are offered for sale at the market and traders' stalls. Special emphasis is placed on local and regional craftsmen and producers.

The Hintersee Kirtag is easy for guests to reach by public transport. From the city of Salzburg in the direction of Hintersee, there is an hourly bus (line 155/157) - information on the exact departure times can be found here. Parking facilities are limited in Hintersee - so getting there from the surrounding towns is car- and stress-free, sustainable, cheap and, above all, convenient.

The Kirtag takes place in all weathers, admission is free.
