The railways of Stern & Hafferl Verkehr We move people!
The Linzer Lokalbahn, affectionately known as <LILO>, is electric, environmentally friendly, energy-saving and safe. It has not only become indispensable for school and commuter transport, but has also developed into the most important regional railroad in the Linz catchment area in recent years, together with freight transport, making it the "backbone" of public transport. With its integration into Linz Central Station in 2005, this has become even more important.
Starting from the provincial capital of Linz, the line runs through the scenic "Eferdinger Landl" to the romantic Aschachtal valley to Waizenkirchen and Peuerbach, or to Neumarkt-Kallham with connections to Passau, Wels, Linz, Vienna or Salzburg. Group trips, school and company outings and trips into the countryside for young and old are also particularly popular.
Tickets are availabe in the train! departures can be seen at the timetable (see documents) or as download.
