A happy place for the soul.

At any time of the day, the area around the Seewiese attracts many strollers. The view over the lake to the Dachstein is unique.

The Jagdhaus Seewiese or the Tauroa Seewiese Altaussee invite you to take a break.  

With the solar ship, a comfortable return trip over the lake to the boat landing Madlmaier can be chosen.

From May to October the Seewiese is accessible on foot via the Promenadenweg, or with the solar boat of the Altaussee Schifffahrt.

In winter, the Promenadenweg (Kaltenbrunn to Strandcafe) is closed due to falling rocks and avalanche danger.
