Along the popular hiking trail from the Tissenbachtal to the Scharnstein castle ruins lies a renatured and newly tended mountain meadow. A rest area was set up a little above, in order to be able to really enjoy this idyllic place with a view of the opposite Bräumauer.
This family-friendly excursion can be wonderfully combined with a visit to the Geyerhammer Museum. The ideal way to get there is with the Almtalbahn (Wels-Grünau) to Scharnstein-Mühldorf train station. A newly built wooden bridge leads to the right bank of the Alm river.
Other hiking options: along the “Genuss am Almfluss” path in both directions or up to the Windhagkogel or the Hochsalm.

From the parking lot after Haus Tießenbach 43 there is now a driving ban, with the exception of cyclists! Please use the signposted parking spaces at Museum Geyerhammer!
