Gustav Klimt garden
"Crocus blooms in the garden, the ground is like a starry sky!
And the mind lights up and the courage and the strength! "
(Gustav Klimt to Emilie Flöge, March 11, 1916)
The upcoming season at the Gustav-Klimt-Center is all about the closeness to nature of the Art Nouveau artist. His dialogue with the forms and colors of nature will be presented in the new special exhibition "Florale Welten" and the parallel publication.
At the same time, the world's first "Klimt Garden" will open in Schörfling am Attersee. Gustav Klimt's enthusiasm for the floral splendor of nature unfolds especially in his landscape paintings. Inspired by six garden views of Klimt, the approximately 100 square meters large, designed in square beds plant with water lily and rose garden in the Marina Schörfling invites you to linger.
Opening: June 21, 2019 - details to follow.
