Musikverein Siebenbürger

Thirteen music enthusiasts from Tschippendorfer, driven from their home in Transylvania, founded the music association in the Eggenberg brewery on February 28, 1948.

Today the association has 55 active members who lead an active club life throughout the year under the motto “Brass music - Always an experience”. In 1964, the Musikverein competed in the first march ranking and promptly achieved first place. For the first time in 1997 we achieved an excellent success in a march rating in performance level C. We are now competing in performance level E under staff leader Markus Lebersorger. A big premiere in the club's history took place in 1984 - the first spring concert took place. Since then, there has been at least one concert every year under conductor Martin Ohler, with another concert highlight in autumn 2015 - the concert with wine accompaniment “Wine meets Music”.
