Market music Scharnstein-Redtenbacher

The history of the two music associations Scharnstein and Viechtwang, at that time they were still united in one band, begins in 1888.

On the 40th anniversary of the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph in December 1888, the new "Turkish Music Band" went public for the first time. Turkish bands were called the original harmony music since they carried the janissaries' percussion instruments (bass drum and cymbals) with them in their ranks.
