plague stone

St. Lorenz am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
In the garden of the house of Family Emhofer, St Lorenz 61 a plague Stone is located.
A tail is toled that the Boy who brought the plague to Mondsee in 1714 is burried underneath it.
His Name had been Michael Lindenthaler and he had been 14 years old. He was on the run from the black death that had already taken over Bavaria and the rest of Germany. The tail is told that every village he passed through got sick. Especially Thalgau, St. Lorenz and Mondsee a lot of People got sick and died.
He died next to the farm Wistauer and they burried his Body in the forest. A few years ago they looked for remains of human bones in the area and found a Skeleton. To this day the Skeleton is burried underneath that rock.
