Leitnmichl chapel

St. Lorenz am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
The chapel is owned by the Mayerhofer family. The church path passed Mondsee and the chapel is now in the middle of the meadow. It was probably built at the beginning of the 20th century.
There are two different reports concerning the construction of the chapel. Tradition has it that it was built out of gratitude for returning from the war, and according to the other version, the cause is the blessing of children. The latter is considered the more probable variant as the grandfather of the current owner was adopted.

Inside is a renovated old Madonna picture.
In May, the chapel is decorated with a door wreath, which is burned on the last day of May. Many hikers and cyclists visit the chapel, which stands in the middle of the meadow. Some leave flowers there. For some, it is a much-visited place of reflection and Prayer.
