Stadlmann wayside shrine
St. Lorenz am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
The wayside shrine is today located in the garden of Lotte and Josef Stadlmann. Originally it was located in the forest on the way to Mondsee.
The grandmother of Mr Stadlmann was in 1911 on her way to the town, when she suffered a misscarriage. Her 8 year old son ran to get help and she survived. Out of thankfulness she put up the shrine. It was relocated multiple times.
When Josef Stadlmann built his house on the Obernber he decided to put this Marterl in his garden and to look after it.
