When building a new farmhouse at the end of the 19th century, construction material was left over. Out of gratitude, the chapel at Schindlauergut was built by Peter and Maria Widlroither. The inscription on the altar: 18 P. M. W. 84 - 21. April documents this foundation period. The chapel is dedicated to the Blessed Mother. Until 1960, Mayan prayers were regularly prayed here. In 1964, the couple Nußbaumer took over the farm. In 1965, the attic was renewed and the chapel was re-covered.
Due to the road construction in 1970, the chapel was very affected. Once you have climbed a step up to the entrance, you have to climb down the step. The moisture damaged the masonry, so that a renovation is pending. The Nußbaumer family intends to rebuild the chapel in its original form above its present location.
