Edtmayer wayside cross

On 29 May 1982, the 4-year-old son of Leopold an Pepi Putz accidentally died in front of the house.

It was not planned to build a wayside cross, but when the garage was rebuilt in 2005, the family also wanted a shrine in the estate. A guardian angel picture seemed the most appropriate, but there was no suitable one to find. So Mrs. Christl Edtmayer was asked to make a guardian angel. It was formed of clay, burned and gilded and placed over a tree trunk in front of which four children playing are depicted. On September 1, 2005, Pastor Edlinger, together with the then new pastor of Mondsee, inaugurated Ernst Wageneder the memorial.
