The shrine at the former Vockenhubergut was commissioned by dr. Peter Appel, who had acquired the property, built around 1980 for the family and as a memorial to the deceased family members.
He is dedicated to the Mother of God.Since 1996, the estate and the shrine belong to the Porsche Family.
