from Vienna/Graz:
Liezen highway exit onto B320, in Trautenfels turn onto Salzkammergut Straße B145 to Bad Aussee, turn onto Koppenstraße through Obertraun and Hallstatt, turn left at Gosaumühle junction towards Gosau

from Villach:
Tauernautobahn to exit "Eben im Pongau", via B166 Pass Gschütt Bundesstraße to Gosau

Arrival by train in "Steeg / Gosau" then continue by bus 542 towards Lake Gosau
