The Stehrerhof open-air museum was opened in 1978 and displays a Hausruck farm, whose original furnishings give visitors a good impression of rural life in the 19th century. In the Hoarstube, the Troadkasten, the Dörrhäusl and the Göpelhütte, you can also learn interesting facts about this period.

In 1993, a neighbouring Mittertennhof from the 16th century, the former "Davidn-Haus", was officially opened as a craftsman's house. Over 70 crafts and manual skills are exhibited here and are demonstrated on special occasions.

The \"Stehrerhof\" originally dates back to the 16th century and has been the Stehrerhof open-air museum since 1978 with its outbuildings, the Troadkasten (left in the picture), the Hoarstube with the Bollenbühne, the Dörrhäusl and the Göpelhütte with an ancient wooden Göpel.

The Stehrerhof provides a comprehensive insight into rural life in past centuries. The typical Hausruck farmhouse displays splendid farmhouse furniture, interesting household items, beautiful old traditional costumes and linen produced on the farm.

The living room for all the residents, a large communal dining table, an old stove with iron legs and oven rails for drying clothes. The windows were subsequently enlarged. The side facing the front house shows numerous layers of lime over the clay on the wooden beams. A beautiful, local Riemlingsdecke with strong Tramen, wide boards, whose joints are covered with Riemlingen. Leather sofa, table and bench from 1875, the Herrgottswinkel, red chequered loop curtains on wooden poles.

Three working ancient looms are in operation at the Stehrerhof and this old skill is demonstrated at various events such as the craftsmen's days.

On various occasions, such as the craftsmen's days and during the threshing week, several women demonstrate the old craft of wool spinning.

The large octagonal hall, which houses the Austrian Threshing Machine Museum with numerous threshing machines, steam engines, motors, harvesting machines and the harvesting equipment exhibition of all Austrian provinces, was built slightly away from the Stehrerhof in 1985.

Two weeks before Easter, the Easter market has been held at the Stehrerhof for many years. Over 60 stalls offer Easter and rural handicrafts, some of which are also demonstrated.

Every year for over 30 years now, the threshing week takes place in the 3rd week of September at the Stehrerhof. The steamer is fired up and drives the threshing machine to thresh the grain, just as it did over a hundred years ago. In the threshing floor, the hand threshers are at work and in front of the farmyard, the horses are harnessed to the horse-drawn winnower, which also operates a small threshing machine.

The threshing week at the Stehrerhof in the 3rd week of September attracts thousands of visitors every year. An experience for young and old and especially for school classes who have been visiting the DAYS OF SCHOOLS during the threshing week for over 30 years and learn lots of new things about life over 100 years ago.

Every 3rd week in September, the machine threshing has been taking place for decades as part of the threshing week. It demonstrates how grain was threshed on farms a long time ago.

The göpel is a device used to transfer animal power to a rotating shaft. The göpel drive made it possible to drive larger and more powerful pin threshers that separated the grain from the straw.

In the past, not only horses but also oxen or cows were harnessed to the gin to operate threshing machines or other agricultural machinery.

The famous \"Stehrerhofkrapfen\" are not only available at all events throughout the year, but also during opening hours from 1 April to 31 October every Wednesday between 11 am and 1 pm.

With the exception of the Advent market at the Stehrerhof on the 1st weekend at the beginning of December, the Stehrerhof is closed every year from 1st November - 31st March.
