The snow at your doorstep!

Many thanks to all visitors and supporters of the Kasberg. Due to the current snow and weather situation, the winter season 2025/2026 is already over!

The Kasberg in Almtal likes to call itself the most central ski area in Upper Austria in the Salzkammergut - in the middle of Austria.

Kasberg family ski area - The snow at your doorstep!

Many thanks to all visitors and supporters of Kasberg. Due to the current snow and weather situation, the winter season 2025/2026 is already over!

23 kilometers of perfectly groomed slopes with 120 snow cannons and snow lances from the mountain to the valley, the extensive children's ski arena with 3 conveyor belts, mascot Bruno Kasbär guarantee winter fun and wonderful skiing.

From the attractive valley station with covered entrances and exits, a cozy restaurant with "Children's Gaudium", ski school, sports store, service and rental, the 8-seater gondola lift takes you right into the heart of the ski area.

The freestyle park at the new Fun-Jet is located at 1,600 meters above sea level. Snowboarders and skiers meet in the park to jump over the two giant kickers, test out the smaller jumps and glide over the rails, the wall and the box. The park is groomed and shaped daily, making it not only the biggest but also the best freestyle park in Upper Austria.

There are also 3 signposted snowshoe trails and a wonderful winter hiking trail.

Tickets are available here!

The numerous huts on the Kasberg, such as the Hochberghaus with its hearty "Pfandlgerichten", the Sonnalm and the Sepp-Huber-Hütte on the mountain as well as the 8erl in the valley station are just right for a cozy stop-off. All three huts on the mountain are located directly on the slopes and delight with local food, hut fun and sun terraces. 8erl is the right place for après-ski!

Family vacation in the Almtal - in the Kasberg family ski area
