How to get to "das forst" in Gmunden in the Traunsee-Almtal region:

We recommend travelling by public transport!

By train:
Via Attnang-Puchheim station to Gmunden station, take the Traunseetram (line 161) from Stern & Hafferl to the Gmunden Klosterplatz stop, or from Vorchdorf Eggenberg. The stop is close by.

Numerous connections from Attnang-Puchheim railway station to the main trains on the Westbahn line (line 101) or via the Salzkammergutbahn in the direction of Bad Ischl, Hallstatt and Bad Aussee.

by bus:
Citybus lines from Gmunden, bus stop Gmunden Klosterplatz

by bike:
"das forst" is also very easy to reach by bike. The Traunvierteltour passes very close to the house, just over the Traun bridge you have access to the R4 Traunradweg and R 2 Salzkammergutradweg.

By car:
Motorway A1: Vienna/Linz - Voralpenkreuz (connection Graz/Passau) A1 - Exit A1 Laakirchen West - B144 via Laakirchen to Gmunden Ost 
Motorway A1: Munich - Salzburg - Exit A1 Regau - B145 to Gmunden - Gmunden Ost
From Bad Ischl take the B145 to Gmunden - Gmunden Ost (eastern shore)

Parking in the town centre:
Underground car park approx. 500 metres away, numerous parking spaces in the town centre (short-term parking zone during the day).
