LIKE THE TREES - FILM PREMIERE

No matter how hard the wind blows, a strong tree stands firm. But what happens to us humans when life uproots us? In “Like the Trees,” we tell a story about the fate of being a stranger—in a new world, but also in our own lives.

The film depicts the suffering caused by the loss of one’s homeland, the silence following upheaval, and the longing for understanding. It examines the invisible burden we carry with us as we flee: unspoken words, the shadows of the past, and the painful search for reconciliation. Yet even in the midst of pain, there is always a ceaseless search: the search for warmth in a cold environment, for connection between people, and for a place where one can finally settle again.
“Like the Trees” is a visual and emotional journey about perseverance. It is about continuing to grow despite all the pain and the realization that home does not always have to be a place—but rather a state of mind that can be inner peace or a new beginning.
