a home game

The Rasthausgalerie of the market town of Seewalchen am Attersee is once again hosting a new exhibition and vernissage.
Günther Peitbuchner, who was born in Seewalchen, presents "a home game"; the focus is on the interplay of colors, shapes and figures.

The paintings will be on display in the gallery from 03.04.2026 to 22.05.2026.
The vernissage will take place on 23.04.2026, from 17:00-18:30.

Painting has accompanied me since my childhood and is still a central part of my creative expression today.

My work focuses on the interplay of colors, shapes and figures - their dialogue, their tension and their effect in space.

My paintings are created in a free, intuitive process.
Forms develop from inner impulses and move between chance and conscious design.

The works grow layer by layer, developing their own dynamic and finding their form through precise craftsmanship and clear composition.

I prefer to work with acrylic in order to work out depth, structure and expressiveness. Through experimental work and the intensive examination of material and surface, I have developed an independent style on a self-taught path.

My exploration of the effects of art also led me to train in painting and gestalt therapy, the impulses of which today also shape my educational work in a youth center.
