It was October 13, 1966, when the Landestheater Orchestra first took to the stage of the Kaufmännisches Palais Linz as the Bruckner Orchestra Linz. To mark its 60th anniversary, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz is now inviting guests to a glittering musical celebration in the open air against the dream backdrop of the Traunstein: on July 11 and 12, 2026, Toscanapark Gmunden will be transformed into a large open-air stage for the anniversary gala, which will celebrate highlights from the past decades of orchestral and opera history.

Under the musical direction of chief conductor Markus Poschner, the Bruckner Orchestra Linz presents a glittering best-of program with excerpts from celebrated productions, award-winning performances and symphonic highlights that have shaped the Bruckner Orchestra Linz over the past 60 years.

Special guests returning are internationally successful singers who once began their careers in Linz and now shine at major opera houses, including the Vienna State Opera. Among them are Erica Eloff, Ilia Staple, Matthäus Schmidlechner and Adrian Eröd, who will bring unforgettable moments to the stage together with the orchestra.

The anniversary gala builds on the successful open-air series of previous years and offers a concert event for classical music fans and newcomers alike - with musical highlights, a unique ambience and artists who have accompanied the Bruckner Orchestra Linz for decades.
