An unparalleled Advent market in an idyllic setting.


“Cultivating Customs and Preserving Traditions”

This motto is a top priority at the Gosau Mountain Christmas. Here, far away from mass tourism and mass-produced goods, time-honored customs and almost forgotten crafts are practiced and brought to life.

Typical Gosau home-style cooking, regional delicacies, and homemade treats are offered by the local heritage association, the women in traditional dress, and local farmers’ wives. Experience true culinary delights with Christmas pastries, a hearty soup served in a bread bowl, and many other tasty treats.

The “Advent Stars” are once again the children this year!

With the varied program for the little ones, time flies by in a flash and boredom is unheard of. Donkeys and a short ride around Gosau on a horse-drawn sleigh promise fun and joy for the whole family. In the Dachstein King’s Christmas workshop in the barn , children can craft lovely gifts while their parents stroll leisurely through the mountain Christmas market and enjoy the magical atmosphere.
