The Ebensee mountain rescue service was founded in 1947 and, with 53 active mountain rescuers, is the largest local office in Upper Austria. Our area of application ranges from Gr. Sonnstein, Erlakogel and Eibenberg to the Dead Mountains with Rinnerkogel, Schönberg and Hochkogel and includes large parts of the Höllengebirge with our local mountain, the Feuerkogel.
