Domicile and workshop of the ceramist family Schleiss in 1903 the Gmundner Ceramic's Manufakturer was founded here The Schleiss double house is in some ways the heart of the ceramic-city Gmunden, having been domicile and workshop of the Schleiss family. Not only have the largely appreciated potters of Gmunden worked here but so have art-nouveau-artists from Vienna workshops such as Michael Powolny and Dagobert Peche or later Franz von Zülow. Their employers, Franz and Emilie Schleiss, later on founded the Gmunden ceramics manufacturer.
