The Automata Museum & Curiosities Cabinet in the World Heritage Site of Hallstatt is located in a historic watermill in a Roman house. This museum is the collection with the world's most representative variety of different automatas, that can be visited.
The small private museum in the historic center of the World Heritage Site Hallstatt shows in its exhibition rooms a collection of machines from the 16th to the beginning of the 20th century. This unusual exhibition leads into the mysterious and magical world of the machines. These are intended to imitate divine, magical, secret or exotic human or animal shapes. Each of these automatic dolls touches in its own way and tells a very special story.
