Mamoser wayside shrine

St. Lorenz am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
"Through a tragic car crash you had to die, but our love to you will never die. The Sisters Desirée (19) and Sabrina (14) Mamoser died here in 2001"
This text is written on the shrine. The two sisters were on their way back from School on the 9th of September in 2001. Sabrina went to School in Bad ISchl and Desirée to School in Ried by Wolfgangsee. They met up so they could drive home together. The first snow had fallen on this day and a electrical defect caused Desirée to lose Control over the car. When help arrived it was already to late.

Vicar Mag. Wolfgang Schnölzer visited the Location of the accident and blessed the cross in 2002. He also helped the Family through the difficult time. The shrine was built by August Meindl and the Text written by Mrs Hilde Nußbaumer.

The grandparents Johann and Maria Hillebrand and the parents look after the place of remembrance.
