In the Mondsee book by Dr. Walter Kunze is written "In 1648/49 the plague broke out again in Mondsee"
40 citizens of Mondsee died, with them father Franziskus Soier. His grave Stone is located in the garden of the big Bauvilla were the plague graves were located.
The plauge grave was hidden by thick bushes for a very Long time. Since 2015 it is open for the public. Next to it a info Plaque was placed which describes in Detail the toll the plague took on the Mondseeland.
