Lacher wayside shrine
Tiefgraben am Mondsee, Oberösterreich, Österreich
Gottfried Pöckl, the old farmer from Bichler in Lindau, recalls that at this place before world war one a big cross was located, which is know mounted on the farm.
During war time they feared that something would happen to the cross, so the brought it to the house and replaced it with a smaller cross. The small cross was lost in time, but Alfred Lacher remembered it and asked his Friend Sepp Schweighofer from Oberhofen to built a wayside shrine. The Quote was drawn on there by Mr Schneeweiß from Straßwalchen.
"The Woods who were made by gods blessung,
Looking after the forest is a important Job"
Johannes Schwertl liked the Quote so much and knew how much it meant to his late Father, that he put it on his remembrance Picture.
