Gerstl Music Scharnstein

Our music group "Gerstl Musi" comes from the beautiful Almtal (Scharnstein, Grünau, Pettenbach, Vorchdorf).

We consist of around 25 musicians with accordions, guitars, bass, trumpet, clarinet / saxophone and drums. But we also play in smaller ensembles. The group was founded in 2002, but already in their youth, numerous members played together in the "Gerstl Group", named after their music teacher at the time, Florian Gerstl. This is where the name "Gerstl Musi" comes from.

Our music program includes around 190 titles (most of them with vocals), namely:

• hits of the 60s and 70s
• Evergreens / Oldies
• Popular music in general
• Polkas, marches, waltzes, tangos
• Real folk music
• Folk music
• Oberkrainer melodies
• Viennese songs

On request, cheerful dialect poems and stories can also be performed between the pieces of music. We do the moderation and the conference ourselves. We also encourage our audience to join in (sing along, clap along). Many already join in after the first known pieces of music. We have already made music at many different events, for example twice at the Upper Austrian Ball in Vienna, at spa concerts (Bad Hall), village festivals, morning pints, beer tents (e.g. Welser Volksfest), Christmas markets, Christmas parties, etc.

We either play in our Gerstl uniform or in traditional costume.
