On offer are slow train panoramic rides over the high plateau of the Tauplitzalm.

One of the most beautiful high alpine pastures in the Salzkammergut, Tauplitzalm, is situated at approximately 1,650 meters above sea level. Three of the six mountain lakes can be visited during the approximately one-hour scenic train ride, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding mountain world. (Totes Gebirge, Grimming, Dachstein, Stoderzinken, Schladminger Tauern, Gesäuse,...).
After a thirty-minute ride, there is a stop at the Steirerseebankerl to enjoy the enchanting view over Steirersee and towards Sturzhahn.

The unique diversity of flowers is particularly fascinating. From early to mid-July (depending on weather conditions), the Almrausch blossom can be admired.
From mid-June to early/mid-September, the young cattle enjoy the summer on the Tauplitzalm.

Opening hours

Scenic train tours from mid-June to mid-September every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 10:00 AM from the Tauplitzalm parking lot, directly at Alm In.

Group trips possible at any time by prior arrangement.
If the Hüttner family doesn't have a suitable free date, the Hierzegger family also offers scenic train rides across the high plateau.
