The Lake Gosau in the Dachstein Salzkammergut is a mountain lake that is becoming increasingly popular among divers. The clarity of the water gives you a view that is seldom found in a lake. Lake Hallstatt and the river Traun also offer spectacular underwater impressions.

Ice diving, a challenge for advanced divers

An ice dive in the Salzkammergut is certainly a highlight that no diver should miss. The extraordinary visibility, the play of light and colour under the ice - experience an underwater world in which everything is different. Ice diving only for divers with training from AOWD.

Diving club Dachstein Salzkammergut

The diving club Dachstein Salzkammergut is located directly at the guesthouse Gosausee with a tank and equipment rental. In addition, experienced divers have a coin-operated filling system at their disposal. You are welcome to book guided dives with us, as well as to do the diving training from beginner to instructor.

Salzkammergut TOTAL is a union of three diving bases in the beautiful Salzkammergut and the Dive Center Under Pressure at the Lake Atter, is your competent partner, from the diving course up to the accommodation. Also part of the trio is Atlantis Qualidive, a cosy and familiar diving base at the river Traun, with a rainproof outdoor area, changing rooms and hot water showers.

The diving centre is open from mid-May to the end of October, at weekends or by prior arrangement.

motorway exit Golling - Abtenau, Russbach, Gosau
Gosau: after the "Pass Gschütt" junction turn right onto the "Gosausee Landstraße", after approx. 7 km you will reach the car park at the Lake Gosau.

from Linz:
motorway exit Regau - Gmunden, Bad Ischl, Bad Goisern, Gosau
Gosau: at the "Pass Gschütt" junction drive straight ahead onto the "Gosausee Landstraße", then after approx. 7 km you will reach the parking lot at the Lake Gosau.

by bus (irregular on Sundays):
from Bad Ischl: bus in direction to "Gosausee" (Lake Gosau)
from Rußbach: bus in direction to Gosau, at the terminus change to bus in direction to "Gosausee" (Lake Gosau)
